ELLEN has a unique knack for executing inspiring and breathtaking designs.  Her sixth sense of creativity started at a young age, as a result of dreaming up craft projects with her mother.  In college, as the only girl in her dorm equipped with a glue gun, Ellen’s ingenuity was requested by many.  It was her own wedding, however, that launched her into the world of wedding invitations and all the paper accessories that can be used to set and express the mood, atmosphere, and personality desired for an individual event.  From there, endeavors for friends quickly led to referrals and now include dedicated clients who trust Paper Pleasers to design never-seen-before, handmade goods for all their life events.

“I love the process of working with engaged couples and their families.  They usually come with an initial source of inspiration for their big day, whether it’s simply a color, a general theme, or a more specific vision. The challenge to make a vision into reality sparks my creative juices.”

If you are looking for a particular style with unique touches, Paper Pleasers can customize to your liking.  If you have a dream, but it is something you’ve never seen before, you’re in Ellen’s specialty.  She takes your vision and ends up with an invitation concept that will exceed expectations and take your guests by surprise. Every outcome is 100% unique to the couple, from the carefully-selected paper features (thickness, texture, pattern, shine, color, etc.) to the ornate detail of a custom designed monogram or a hand-tied twine wrap.

Ellen’s degrees in Mathematics and Business from Marquette University and experience as a small business consultant are a contrast to her creative side, but have fed her entrepreneurial spirit to the benefit of her clients.  She understands the demands of managing a project, like a wedding, and the communication, coordination, budgeting and timelines required to ensure a smooth process for the bride.

“I’ve had countless people say to me, ‘I can tell you really love what you do!’ I think it’s because they see that I work very hard yet enjoy every minute of it. I feel very lucky to have found what I love to do and have a talent for at such a young age.”

Ellen’s easy going nature will leave you wanting to share a cup of coffee (or tea) while feeling confident that she understands exactly what you are looking for to create the perfect wedding stationery suite and paper accessories for your big day.
